The Living Quietness

The whole world is your home. I am the Mother of the wicked, I am the Mother of the virtuous. Whenever you are in distress, say that 'I have a Mother'. Sri Sarada Devi.

Generosity Exchange: Children, Parents

Ask for Help: Receiving is an act of generosity.

by Cheryl Richardson:

Children: Are the parents really 'giving' love when they say bye bye to their kids leaving them at school?
I couldn't have guessed it so clearly if i have been engaged in a loving act toward my own child.
I witnessed it as my child was away - the other parents and their children.
I saw the generosity of the kids in their eyes.

If the parents are doing their parenting jobs - the reward is this - in the process apparently learning to love their children, they learn to love themselves. So who is the receiver - the parents. And the children only give the gifts that God has sent them for - to see that their parents love themselves. Dr.Phil says "so you already have a job for your unborn child" - yes, but not in the way that the parents conveive but in an unsuspectingly subtle way they come to teach about love.

When they receive love from their parents, they act as an agent of generosity for in that act they open the channels of love to flow from within the parents themselves.
What sacred act could one conceive of more.
