The Living Quietness

The whole world is your home. I am the Mother of the wicked, I am the Mother of the virtuous. Whenever you are in distress, say that 'I have a Mother'. Sri Sarada Devi.

Our Spirit craves for Soul Companions

I sometimes notice that when I pray or read spiritual texts I begin to long for company within that short while.

It is said that our spirit longs for soul companions. When Sri Ramakrishna Parahamsa was living in His blissful divine connections, He is said to have missed such divinely passionate companions in his physical world. And when He cried to His Mother about this longing in His heart, disciples started to show in His life within a while later - one of whom perhaps is Swami Vivekananda.

There is a similar story of Saint Mira Bai where she ran to meet this rare soul companion, a lover of the Soul equal to hers.
